Electric Bill to kWh Calculator
Work out roughly how many kilowatt-hours a bill amount represents after fixed charges and taxes.
How it is calculated
kWh ≈ (bill ÷ (1 + taxes %) − customer charge) ÷ rate. This assumes one average rate; tiered and time-of-use plans will differ.
Results are estimates for planning, not bills or professional advice. For generator hookups use a transfer switch installed by a licensed electrician.
